1. Introduction

All business conducted by Freight Agencies Forwarding LTD  is strictly in accordance with the current Standard Trading Conditions of the British International Freight Association (BIFA). By using our services, you agree to comply with these terms.

2. Representation with HMRC

In light of EU Exit changes and in accordance with Clause 7 of the 2021 Edition of the BIFA Standard Trading Conditions, Freight Agencies Forwarding LTD acts as a Direct Customs Agent only. This means we are legally authorised to make Customs declarations in the name of the Customer (Principal) as their “Direct Agent”.

2.1 Direct Representation

Freight Agencies Forwarding LTD, when acting under Direct Representation, undertakes transactions with HMRC on behalf of our UK-established customers and/or owners, assuming that all the obligations and rights of these transactions pertain to the Customer (Principal).

2.2 Data Sharing and Authorisation

To comply with HMRC requirements and verify our Direct Representative capacity, we may require evidence of authorisation from you.

3. Changes Due to EU Exit

The departure of the UK from the EU has necessitated updates to our operations and services, including amendments to the BIFA Standard Trading Conditions. We are committed to safeguarding our members and ensuring compliance with new regulations concerning Representation with HMRC.

4. Amendments

Freight Agencies Forwarding LTD reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions in alignment with changes to legislation or operational requirements. We will provide notifications of such changes as necessary.
